Another option to improve the specific capacity of aluminum-air batteries is using anticorrosive substances in the electrolyte (aqueous or gelled). Typically, compounds based on zinc are used for this purpose; However, most of the reported anticorrosive compounds have an unsatisfactory performance for practical applications. We are focused on the development and study of new anticorrosive substances based on vanadium and inorganic compounds such as polyoxomethalates.
